She was the owner of Francis Trailer Sales for many years and enjoyed camping. She was also excellent at knitting and needlepoint. She was active in both the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts. Sylvia was a member of the Eastern Star, was past president of the Parents Teachers Association. She will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful wife and excellent mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Francis who died October 21, 1996 and her son, Kenneth Francis.
Sylvia is survived by her son John (Jack) Francis and wife, Lynn; daughter-in-law, Susanne Francis; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in McKean Memorial Park, Bradford, PA.
