She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will forever be in our hearts.
She was very active in her church, and also helped with various fundraising efforts. Sylvia was a volunteer for "Citizens on Patrol" COPs. She also worked with battered wives and children who came to the police department for crisis assistance.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Gilbert. Survivors: parents, Thomas and Rusila Jimenez; two daughters, Kelly Vallejo and Adriana Vallejo; one granddaughter, Lindsey Benavides; three sisters, Barbara Alarcon, Bernice Garcia and Annette Jimenez.
