I am so glad I was able to exchange letters with my Aunt Sylvia in recent years.  I will treasure her letters.  We talked about our family history, and she told me stories of when she was a child.  She is now with her family, waiting for the resurrection.

I did not know Mrs. Styron personally but I have heard John talk very fondly of his Mom.  When I viewed the beautiful pictures and memories shared by others I can see that she was an amazing woman who lived a remarkable life.   Thinking of the Styron family and sending prayers for peace and comfort.

Heartfelt condolences to the Styron family on the loss of a wife and mother. May you find eternal comfort with each other during this time of bereavement, with Sylvia's spirit being the the bond holding you together.

Sylvia was our dear aunt. As children, we eagerly looked forward to her visits from far away places. She arrived with sparkling laughter, good humor, and fascinating stories. Sylvia was glamorous, beautiful and always loving. She cherished her time as an officer in both the US Navy and US Air Force where, as an occupational therapist, she helped rehabilitate many patients who aways remembered her gifted healing care. As a wife and mother she cherished her family above all. Beautiful Sylvia, talented and wise - Happy trails to you, until we meet again.  Love always.

exquisite leather goods, dolls & books
(& my favorite book of Elves & Fairies, which inspired my art)

But the most precious gift of all was Sylvia herself - 
Through the years & miles of visits, as her cherished family grew 
She brightened our world with her gentle love, beauty & musical laughter

Sylvia is my beloved Godmother & favorite Aunt.

She was & is the Bright Light at the center of your lives
