

SYLVIA PEGGY TROUTMAN was born August 27, 1936 and died on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the age of 76. She was welcomed at home in San Antonio, Texas by her parents Doyle Jackson Troutman and Rebecca Pelaez Troutman. She was baptized at The Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church. She spent her entire childhood and life in San Antonio attending Sacred Heart Catholic School, St. Henry's Academy, and graduated from The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio where she received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business and graduated Cum Laude. She was an active Alumni Member of The University of Incarnate Word. Sylvia retired from USAA after twenty-five years of service, a member of the USAA Golden Eagle Club, USAA Golf Team, and a Presiding Precinct Judge of Bexar County, Texas District 3079, 3080, 3119 for many years. She also served as a Volunteer Tax Preparer for VITA. She was a devout Roman Catholic and parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Sylvia's family and friends will remember her as a devoted and loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Sylvia had a zest for life and recognized to be a strong positive giving person in her community, and belonged to numerous organizations. She loved and enjoyed her family and will be greatly missed. She loved traveling and visited many U.S. States, European countries, Canada, and Mexico, as well as cruise trips to and throughout the Caribbean. She is preceded in death by (Doyle and Rebecca Troutman), her parents, and her daughter, Wanda Louise Sigmon. She is survived by her three children, Laurel Leslie Sigmon Ferri and husband, Gary P. Ferri (Rockport, TX), Suzanne Lynne Sigmon Taylor and husband, Wm Dirk Taylor Sr. (Blue Ridge, GA), Leslie Spencer Lewis Sigmon ll, and wife, Angela Lynn Sigmon (Bellaire, TX). In addition she is survived by seven grandchildren, William Dirk Taylor Jr., Leslie Taylor Riddoch and husband, Mason Riddoch, Michael Lewis Ferri, Lauren Rebecca Sigmon, Jacquelyn Leslie Sigmon, Lewis Preston Sigmon, and Jessica Taylor Sigmon and her two brothers, James Doyle and sister-in-law, Elida Troutman, Elliott Richard Troutman and sister-in-law, Ernestine Troutman. She is also survived by her lifelong friend and ex-spouse, Leslie Spencer Lewis Sigmon, Sr., nephews, and numerous other friends and colleagues.
