Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Sylvia will be reunited in heaven with her mother, Maria Ines Lopez, and her brother, Rodolfo “Rudy” Ramos, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Epicmenio) Jasso, Jr.; her son, Thomas John “TJ” (Yvonne) Zamudio, Jr.; her cherished grandson, E. Tristan Jasso, III; her nephew, Rudy Jay (Melanie) Ramos III; and great-nieces Bobbie Thomas, Sadie Ramos, and Riley Ramos.
Sylvia was a kind, selfless, and deeply giving woman who always saw the best in everyone she met. She loved her family wholeheartedly, and her pride and joy was her grandson, Tristan, whom she adored beyond measure.
She enjoyed her many years working at Shaw's Jewelers, where she built lasting friendships. Sylvia also gave back to her community through volunteer work at St. PJ’s Children’s Home, where she lovingly cut children’s hair.
Having contracted polio as a child, and as a result of giving birth to her only son, TJ whom she loved so much, Sylvia faced many health challenges throughout her life, including several strokes and a massive heart attack. Despite these obstacles, she showed remarkable strength and perseverance. In her final days, she was tired and ready to rest after a lifetime of courage and love.
Sylvia is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her children, grandson, and all who were blessed to know her. Her warmth, resilience, and gentle spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Nightingale Hospice Care, Inc. more especially Veronica and Tracy, for their exceptional love and care during the last seven months of Sylvia’s life. They were true angels on earth.
