Dear Family,

I am very sorry for the passing of your dearly loved Teresa.

She was a valued friend and colleague of the Edwards Aquifer Authority.  Her bright smile and sweet spirit will always be missed.

May God give you gentle peace, quiet strength and steadfast love.

Though I only met this wonderful woman once, she made an impression on me as a caring, thoughtful and loving soul.  At a St. James reunion we sat by each other and shared family history.  She had a calming spirit and was so easy to talk to, not judgmental, but accepting and open to others.   She talked proudly  and lovingly of her children, husband and siblings.   All of you  meant a lot to Teresa.  
God bless and sustain you all always.   

My prayers are with the family at this time of sorrow. Teresa and I shared many funny and sad moments. I love her like she was my own mom. My heart aches for I will truly miss her. What a wonderful caring Christian mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and most of all friend. RIP my beautiful friend ❤️🙏

My husband and I send our condolences, peace and love to the family.  We pray that during this time you feel a great comfort for the Lord is with you and He will hold you close.  We send special prayers for the children, grandchildren and my dad for healing during this loss.  We love you all.

She is survived by her husband Martin Gutierrez Jr; Brothers Santiago "Jimmy" Montez Jr.; Daniel Montez and Sister Yolanda M Rodriguez, son Alfred M. Alvarez Jr. (Adriana); daughter Catherine A. Tijerina (Augustin). She is also survived by Grandchildren Christopher M. Alvarez, Alexis Briones, Augustin A. Tijerina Jr, Catarina Teresa A. Tijerina; Great grandson Isaiah J. Briones; and numerous nieces and nephews, along with many family members and friends.




She is preceded in death by her parents Felipe Montez and Catarina Montez; Brothers Vicente Montez, Vidal Montez and Sister Frances M. Garza.
