Teresa Cruz Robledo

Teresa Cruz Robledo was born on October 15, 1931 and lived in Corpus Christi, Texas for most of her entire life. She was hard-working, compassionate, brave, smart, kind, loving, humble, and devoted. Her love and dedication to her family was so profound, it was strict at times.

She would always put herself last and sacrificed everything at all costs to make sure her loved ones always ate first, had clothes on their back (even making them herself), and always reminded us to have faith in God and be thankful. Her unwavering faith in God helped shape who she was as a person and her advice and teachings also shaped who her children and children’s children have become today. She would always say “encomiendate a Dios” and “Dios por delante y yo por de tras.”

A great mother, wise counsel & teacher and a wonderful cook. She believed in always telling the truth, educating yourself, helping others when you can, and being a good person. She was truly a blessing to all who got to meet and know her.

She is survived by her ten children: Hermelinda Gonzalez, Raul Trevino, Eddie Robledo, Manuel Robledo Jr., Jose Robledo, Ricardo Robledo, Elena R.
