Terry Wayne Davis of Shavano Park, TX passed away on Wednesday April 29, 2026, at the age of 81 surrounded by family and friends. He was born on December 04, 1944, in San Antonio, TX. The son of an Army intelligence officer, Terry spent several years growing up in West Germany and Maryland in addition to San Antonio. He attended Southwest Texas State College where he lettered in track and basketball. Terry served a combined 38 years in the Army National Guard and Air Force Reserves and was a decades-long civil servant for GSA.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and experiencing nature with his friends and loved ones. He was also a self-taught musician and spent his retirement years learning to play the piano and keyboard. He played recreationally in a local Senior Citizens community band. He was a loving and dedicated grandfather, affectionately nicknamed “Papo Terry” by his first granddaughter, Rachel.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Wayne Davis. He is survived by his wife Linda, his sons Michael and Steven, his daughter-in-law Anne-Dorothe, his granddaughters Sarah and Sophie, his daughter-in-law Rebecca (Ronald), his granddaughters Rachel and Reagan, and many more loving family and friends.
Services will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery at 17501 Nacogdoches Rd on Friday May 8 at 2:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life to follow.
