The Reverend Morgan Monsignor Rowsome

The Reverend Monsignor Morgan Rowsome passed away on May 22, 2015. Father Morgan was born in Ireland on May 5, 1943 and ordained a priest on May 31, 1970. Following ordination, Fr. Morgan began his ministry in Texas where he served the people in the diocese of Corpus Christi for over 44 years with great love and dedication to the needs of God's people. 14 of those years were spent in Laredo (at that time Laredo was under the diocese of Corpus Christi). Father recently retired to be with his family in San Antonio where he ministered to the people of God in the surrounding areas.

Fr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, Pierce and Ita Rowsome and his brother Pierce. He is survived by his brother Mike Rowsome and Alice, sister Mary Rowsome, brother Billy Rowsome and Sheila, brother Declan Rowsome and Patricia all of Ireland, and sister Catherine Lopez and Gilbert of San Antonio, 16 nieces and nephews, 15 great nephews and a great niece. Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 26, at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in San Antonio.

Fr. Morgan will be interred in Ireland.

He will be missed by all those he ministered to and especially by his loving family.
