Thelma Taylor Fouts, age 89, entered eternity on Sunday, October 12, 2014 after a long struggle with lung disease. Thelma was born in Deal, Kent England on July 4, 1925 to George and Betty Taylor. Thelma joined the WAFF and met Burton Fouts. They were married in 1946 and soon after that Thelma left England to join her husband in the USA. Thelma went to work for the San Antonio Housing Authority and worked her way up from switchboard operator to managing several of the Senior Apartments. After many years she retired from SAHA. Thelma was a long time member of both the TBPA and the British Heritage Association.
Thelma is survived by her son, John Fouts and wife, Grace; grandsons, Nathan Perkins, David Perkins and wife, Amy; and numerous family members in England. A celebration of her life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014 in Sunset Northwest Funeral Home Chapel on Bandera Rd.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to the American Lung Association.
