Thelma was known as the “go gal”. She embraced many accomplishments in her lifetime. At the top of her list were her three children, husband, and her relationship with God. She was a true helpmate to her husband Gene C. Hennen, a forester for the U.S. Forest Service. They married March 18, 1960 and lived in many remote Colorado mountain towns finally settling in Pueblo, CO. Thelma worked in the Pueblo School District for over thirty years as an Administrative Assistant in the Special Education Department. She formed many lifelong friendships and served on many volunteer projects. Thelma was a Girl Scout Leader and Board Member for over twenty years and enjoyed mentoring young women. She was always very active in whatever neighborhood she lived in and was monumental in organizing and enhancing life for all. She was an encouragement to many and enjoyed entertaining friends and family over tea or holiday meals. Her love of the arts and music showed in her creative work with watercolor and chalk creations for friends and family. The family thanks one and all for your love and friendship that enhanced Thelma’s life. Funeral details can also be found at www.thelmahennencelebrationoflife.com.
