'I think of you often. You were not only my boss, but you were like a father figure to me. So many memories of us working together on the project. Lots of long hours. You are dearly missed. 'I have had many managers at USAA, and Ted was my all-time favorite. He was more like a Dad than a manager. He always trusted us, looked out for our best interest and fought for what he thought was right for his team. Yet at the same time, he was hands off and did not micromanage. He had a great sense of humor and led with a smile. Even after he left USAA we kept in touch a little, had a few reunion lunches, and it was great. He will be truly missed, and my heart goes out to the family. God bless you all.'

'My condolences to Ted's family. I first met Ted when he was a Teaching Assistant at what was then SWT back in the 70's. We reconnected when he returned to Texas State 30 years later as a Project Manager in the Information Technology division.
