Theresa Gertrude Burke

Theresa G. Burke (Terry), age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2025 at her home. She was born August 10,1936 in Boston, Massachusetts, to Phillip and Gertrude Lagotte. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 wonderful years, Robert G. Burke (Bob). She is survived by her five children Steve (Norma), Debbie (Chuck), Linda (Jessie), Wayne (Lisa) and Karen (Michael), nine grandchildren (Lara, Keri, Phillip, Abbey, David, Michael, Charity, Jackie, and Sean), and 18 great grandchildren.

Terry lived a full life as a military wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She traveled the world with her husband and children before setting down in San Antonio, Texas for the last 55 years.

She was multi-talented as she enjoyed sewing, painting, crafting, cake decorating, crocheting, and was a lover of gardening. She studied and received her Master Gardner certificate and loved volunteering at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. She was co-owner of the family alarm business for a number of years. She was an avid sports fan and pulled hard for the Spurs, Cowboys, her hometown Celtics, Patriots, and Red Soxs and also enjoyed watching golf, ice skating, and bowling.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 14th at 11:00 am at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles, located at 111 Barilla Place, San Antonio, Texas 78209. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following mass in the parish hall. A private internment will be held at a later date.
