Theresa Marilyn Jean Foster

Jean was a woman of many talents. She competitively raced (yes, raced) muscle cars in her younger years and was undefeated until her father sold her 1964 Chevy Impala SS while she was recuperating from a non-racing related accident.

She was also a gifted artist, waterski instructor, business owner, honorary Bexar County Constable, and even runner up for Miss Kelly AFB. She could do anything she set her mind to: she could fish and hunt as well as filet and field dress better than any man, and still cook, sew, and decorate a home better than Martha Stewart. She could also plumb, paint, landscape, refurbish, and MacGyver just about anything. She was full of life and full of energy and always on the go.

Jean lived her whole life for others and those who knew her will remember her as a kind-hearted and caring woman with an infectious laugh. Those who knew her best know she could be every bit as stubborn and hardheaded as she was kind-hearted and caring.

Sadly, the only thing she could not do was keep her opinion to herself or stay awake until the end of a movie.

She loved all animals, fishing, going to the beach, being on the water, spoiling her fur-babies and grandchildren, estate and garage sales, antiques, Nerd energy drinks, Hallmark movies, the family ranch, and controversy, although she would vehemently deny this last item. Most of all, she loved the holidays when the house was full of family, laughter, and good food.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James Foster; parents, Francis and Lucille Fleming; and her older brother, Patrick Fleming.

She is survived by her son, Wade Foster and his wife, Joyce; sister, Terry Saathoff and her husband, Curtis and daughter, Kylie; brother Michael Fleming and his family; grandchildren Ashton Foster and his wife, Cristina; Brandon Reichert and his wife, Misti, and their children, Braedyn and Raegan.

Jean did not wish to have a formal service; however, her family wishes to have a Celebration of Life for her at the coast in the near future.
