Thomas was a Retired Master Sergeant of the US Air Force.
He was an active member of Bexar Kiwanis. He served on the Board of Urban Ministries, a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church, Ann-Arbor Fraternity Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Michigan.
He was a Century Club Alumni of Southwest Texas University and was a retired Board Member of A.G. Bell.
He won the award for the 1988 National Hole In One Association and the award for the George F. Hixson Fellowship in 1999.
Survived by his wife, Janet Beauch; children, Linda Bullard, Jacqueline Hacker, Donna Adams; brother and sister, Birney Beauch and Jacqueline McGee; 6 grandchildren; a niece and a nephew; 4 grand nieces and grand nephews.
