I am so sorry this is late. Your Dad was such a special man to me. He hired me at TTC and I am still there! Things have changed greatly but when I remember him and his kindness it always warms my heart. I was a first time mother away from all my family and through his kindness and caring I was able to make it through without losing a good job. I 
 I know he was extremely proud of his children--the way you both achieved as well as the people you had become. They don't make men like him anymore! God Bless You Dr. Allen.

Dr. T.J. Allen was both loved and revered by the staff and students on the Peoria campus of Tulsa Vo=Tech. He was an inspiration to those whom he encouraged and supported on a daily basis and he will be sorely missed by all who owe him much gratitude for his influence on their lives. May God bless him and may he rest in peace-- and may God bless and comfort his family and friends who grieve for him.

Dr. Allen hired me to teach on the Peoria Campus of Tulsa Area Vo Tech in 1981. I respected and admired him as a person and educator. We had many long discussions. I remember his advise to teach at least 30 years before retiring. I listened to him and retired from teaching in 2001. Dr. Allen's standards of excellence have served me well in many endeavors. I lost my father this year and can offer some empathy on what you will experience the next several months. It saddens me that our country is losing the brave war heros of the Greatest Generation. So sorry for your loss, I hope he had a peacefull retirement and did not suffer.I was the Adult Auto Instructor at the Peoria campus of Tulsa Votech, and I am sure I caused him more than one headache during my time there. I always thought a lot of Dr Allen and was honored to have served under him. He always looked out for his staff and took as good care of us as he could.

Our family was very saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Allen. Our prayers are with all of you in this time of loss. Dr. Allen (although we will always remember him as "Mr. Allen") was a very caring person who was a tremendous educator and mentor, not only to students, but also to their parents and those in the communities he served! He will forever have a very special place in our hearts. We are grateful that we were blessed to have Peggy and him as a part of our lives for so many years. May God bless all of you at this time! We will always remember T.J. and Peggy. It was a pleasure to grow old with them. We will always remember their 
performing their dances at our family reunions. They were excellent and we were all very impressed and proud of their activity. We will miss both of them very much.

Dr. Allen was a very special man. He was the principal at Tulsa Vo-Tech, Peoria Campus when I started working there in 1981. He was a kind and caring man that never had a harsh word to say about anyone. He was always a professional that loved his job and his staff. He will be missed.

Cindy and Tom Ted your in my thoughts and prayers today. Your dad was a very special person. We have many fond memories of the Allen family.
