Thomas Terrell Fawcett

It is with profound sadness that the family of Thomas T. Fawcett announces his passing on February 3, 2023 at the age of 89. Born on April 8, 1933 in El Paso, Texas to Taylor H. Fawcett and Mary Martin Jackson, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Carol (Chenoweth) Fawcett, his parents, brothers Taylor and Dan Fawcett, sister Jacqueline “Jackie” West, and one great grandchild.

Thomas was a loving husband and devoted father to his sons Thomas Fawcett, Jr. (Grace), Dan Fawcett (Joan), Gary Fawcett (Connie). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren - Thomas Fawcett III “Trey” (Jessica), Joe Basten (Riza), Tracy Ramsey, Jerry Fawcett (Ashley), Wayne Fawcett (Jackie), Nathan Fawcett (Paula), Daniel Fawcett (Sarilyn), Matthew Fawcett (Loretta), Martha Schmidt (Gary), and Kathryn Strait (Paul) as well as 30 great grandchildren.

Thomas spent his working years as an engineer for the US military defense system and AT&T. Upon retiring, he enjoyed many happy years fishing, bird watching, and travelling. He was a member of the Northern Oaks Church of Christ as well as the National Audubon Society and the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.

The funeral will take place at Porter Loring Mortuary North located at 2102 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, Texas on March 10th at 9:30 AM. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 AM with full military honors.

Thomas will be remembered for his kindness and generosity by all those whose lives he touched during his long life. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
