He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Hyland and his brother, Jack Hyland.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Elaine Hyland; children, Patricia Lyons, Barbara Fodera, Michele Spillane, Jude Hyland, Bethann Hyland, Thomas M. Hyland, Jr., and Jeremy Hyland; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, James Hyland; and sister, Helen Gibney.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
