

Thomas G. Janetakos, age 80, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Thomas was born in Buffalo, New York to parents, George Janetakos and Elsie O’Dell. Thomas served his country in the US Army, then became a Border Patrol Agent, which led to his service as a Special Investigator for the Immigration and Naturalization Service. He retired at age 52. Together with his wife Roslyn, they managed a ballroom dance club for 7 years. Thomas was also fond of music, guitars, writing songs, and poems. He was preceded in death by parents, George Janetakos and Elsie O’Dell, and sister Elanor Janetakos. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of many years, Roslyn Janetakos; daughters, Stephanie Janetakos and Athena Goldapp; grandson and granddaughter, Ethan and Bethany Goldapp; stepdaughter, Leah Wilks; step-granddaughter, Ariel Wilks; sisters, Presbytera Stavroula Matos and Angie Janetakos; brother, Jim Janetakos; nieces, Maria McCooey and her husband, Pat and daughter, Zoe, and Eleni Matos and daughter, Rachel Nemirovsky; nephews, Dr. Peter Matos and his children, Peter and Ian Matos, Colleen Martin and husband, Bradley and George Matos and his wife, Jen and their children, Ariana and Xander.
