He is preceded in death by his wife Carolyn and his parents Thomas J. and Thelma Moore.
He is survived by his daughter, Margie and husband Robert; and by his son, Jeff; grandchildren, Sherese Borchers, Alexis Hernandez and husband, Fernando, Erin Brown and husband, Patrick, Robin Moore and Joshua Borchers; great-grandchildren, Alyse Hernandez and Keith Brown. Jeannie Tanner and her family were also important in his life.
Tom was a lifelong resident of San Antonio. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and retired from IBM after many years of service.
He loved fishing, carving, racing, bowling, card games and most of all his family. Cartoons and the comics were his favorite things because they made him laugh. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. His sense of humor was with him to the very end.
The family wishes to thank the employees of Home Caring and Vitas Hospice for all their caring and support in his last days.
