Adria, I hope you remember me. I worked with Tom at Speedy on Medical. I worked with Hilda, Lilly and Vangie. The most vivid memory that comes to mind is when we played a April's fool joke on our boss about a fire at the store. The joke was soon on us. You probably remember me now... 
Adria, I just found out today about my friend Tom. I am very sorry to learn about your family's loss. I will always cherish the conversation I had with Tom last year. He was always so genuine, a good friend and of course a great boss. My heart and prayers are with you and your family.

My last memory of Tom was when we were joking and talking about old times at Speedy. He was a good man and I'll miss him. I remember Tom always talking about playing golf. well, it's been 6 days since Tom passed away and I think about him much more than I ever did. 
It's amazing how some silly moment or a story pops into my mind and it takes me right back where we were 40 some odd years ago. We had some unbelievable times together and I will cherish them always......Mr. Cool

Adria and Family, I just learned of Tom's passing from a friend back in SA. I moved to Phoenix a few years ago, so I hadn't crossed paths with Tom in some time. It has been twenty years since I first worked with Tom at Speedy Printing. I will always recall our reminiscing of some great music from "back in the day". He once gave me a "reel" of some great local bands from back east. Whenever we did run into each other, he always greeted me with a familiar smile. Since moving here to Phoenix, I have thought of Tom from time to time as I've driven past a golf course. I have nothing but fond memories of him. You and your family are in my thoughts, please accept my sincerest condolences.

I was saddened to hear of Tom's passing. It has been a while since our paths had crossed, he used to call on the Institute of Texan Cultures a few years ago, actually before your children were born and he would stop by to say hello. He was always happy, cheerful and always had nothing but good to say about others, wonderful gifts to have.

Why you had to go I don't know but in your passing I found a man I did not give enough credit to in life. You were truly all the things people have said in these tributes. Kind, generous, loving, true to family values, true to marriage vows, kind to all creatures, respectful to Norton family values, respectful to the Kline values, showed integrity in business, enjoyed lifes small moments and did not long for any extra, had a thrifty virtue, loved the enviroment and the mountains especially, picked up any trash on the trail and carried it until you saw a trash recepticle, you tried even in your weakest state to get back into the life you so loved,you pushed those around you to do their best at all times, you took care of the things you had and didn't wish for more, work was never out of the question, if someone asked you a favor you never said NO,I could always count on you for whatever I asked, you loved nature and my ability to capture it on film, you always stopped and backed up when I saw a shot, you stood in the cold to get the perfect eagle picture, you got up early to do the work I hated and let me sleep, you never mowed until the neighbors got up, you made me vote, but mostly your death taught me about strength. There could be no one stronger in beliefs and in how to live those truths you believed. I could never be as strong as you BUT BECAUSE of your strength I was able to be your strength in your time of death. I'm so sad that you are gone from my earthly life but what you left for Kate, Chris and me to hang on to will never leave our hearts and I hope what you have taught us will be lived out in our lives as best as we can. Our 28 years of marriage went so fast and I wanted to grow older with you in the peace of the mountains that we both so loved. Now the best I can do is join you there when our children toss our ashes in the cool mountain breeze and we will see each other again. I love you and miss you so much babe.

Tom, you can now enjoy the deepest powdered ski slopes and the finest manicured golf courses. You will be missed by all. To the Norton Family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our sympathy and prayers are with you all. Tom will be missed. We were in Crested Butte this past week and learned of Toms passing yesterday. It was ironic because we were thinking about you all and wondering if you were in Crested Butte also. I will miss the opportunity to take Tom trout fishing on the East River. We often talked about doing that, and I had promised to show him a few of my secret fishing spots. Tom was a wonderful person, and one who befrieded us when we first started Emily in gymnastics. We would often talk about the difficult tricks our daughters were performing. Please know that we considered Tom a good friend and he will be missed. May God Bless You All.

Tom was such a nice, gentle man--I think all of us who had contact with him will miss him very much.

I am only 9 years old, but I have know Tom almost all of my life. Tom was a kind man like the way he covered me up when I was asleep .He never gave up .All I have to say is we all LOVE you and everybody misses you . No matter what you will always be in my HEART. THANK YOU VERRY MUCH !

I first met Tom when I worked at Church's Fried Chicken headquarters. He was the contact person for our maintenance/repair manuals printing. He was always so energetic and helpful. Even after I left Church's and he went on to do his own thing, I still did business with him. It was always good to see him and talk to him. I even ran into him at the Castle Hills H.E.B. one evening and we stopped and talked about what each of us was doing. I will miss his smile and energy but I will remember him fondly. My condolences to the Norton family.

It's hard for me to believe that you're gone and that I won't see you walking into my store ever again. It pains me greatly that I can't be at your final farewell, but, as you know, I'm on vacation. 
As I sit here thinking back over the 15 plus years of our friendship, a lot of things pop into my head. 
Early on, I remember this handsome, sharp-dressed, gray-haired, "cool cat" driving up in his red sports car. Lety would always get a "rise" when she saw that thanks for making me look bad, Tom. You always looked like you stepped out of a GQ magazine--even when I would meet you at the store on a Saturday, you would look sharp. I always admired that about you. 
Then I remember all of the golf we played together. You and Mike against Matt and me. You were the only one in the group that I could "kind of" compete with--although you still always seemed to kick my butt and, damn it, you always looked good doing it. It saddens me that we'll never swing 'em again. 
And then, I remember you coming into the store saying "LB! Spurs?" which would initiate a 15 minute session about the previous night's game. 
By the way, you remember all of those Spurs tickets I gave you right behind me? YOU OWE ME! I want you to save me 2 tickets right behind you for the BIG game up there we St. Mary's grads need to stick together. I'll get you a cold one and we'll reminisce. Until then, know that you're in my thoughts.

I met Tom in 1987 at Sea World of Texas. He handled all the printing of our forms because of his great service. We kept in touch through the years and I will always remember Tom's great smile and his great sense of humor. I am deeply saddened by his passing and send my sincere condolences to his family. I first met Tom in 1974 waiting tables at Turtle Creek Country Club. He was always a super guy and easy going. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passsing. My wife and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
