Thomas Reta

He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Mary; his 4 children, daughter and son in law Rita and Ernest Campos; sons and daughter in laws Adrian and Ruth, Damian and JoAnn, and Fabian and Lisa Reta. He had 12 wonderful grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. He is also survived by his sister Cora Sanders, brothers and sister in law Felix and Elsie, and Barney Reta along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends to whom he was known as Uncle Tommy or Tom.

Thomas believed in service and was a proud American. The American Flag was always flying in his front yard. He worked as a civil servant at Kelly Air Force Base until his retirement in 1990 and proudly honored his country by serving in the US Army and ultimately retiring from the Air Force Reserves with over 20 years of service. He was an avid sports fan, always looking for a game to watch! Watching his great grandchildren play any sport was one of his favorite pastimes. He was always up to date with current events, watching the news channels and reading the newspaper daily. He was surrounded by his loving family when he peacefully entered the arms of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ.

The Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home 226 Cupples Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78237 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 9:30a.m. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
