Thomas Hubert "Hubie" Hedrick, Jr., 1Sgt, US Army, Ret. of San Antonio, TX, age 84, passed away Friday, November 19, 2004. He was born in Hinton, West Virginia to Thomas Hubert Hedrick, Sr. and Nora L. Bartgis.
Thomas married his wife Alice in December 1941; she preceded him in death in 2000. He retired from the US Army after serving for 24 years. He was also a 32nd degree Mason. He was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Hubie is survived by his four children: Thomas Hubert Hedrick, III and his wife Shirley of San Antonio, TX, Judith Kay Proietti and her husband Roberto of Colorado Springs, CO, David T. Hedrick and his wife Lori of Jacksonville, FL and Rebecca Hern-Menter of San Antonio; and his "baby" Fifi; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and extended family and friends.
He will always be remembered for his ability to meet any stranger and make them a friend.
