Thomas A. Wright

Thomas A. Wright, age 71, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in San Antonio, TX with his family by his side. He was born July 17, 1950, in Jacksonville, Illinois to Charmain Forbes and Richard Wright. He graduated from Bishop Lillis High School in 1969 in Kansas City, MO. This is where he met his wife of 49 years, Margaret Balistreri. He graduated from Bishop Donnelly College in Kansas City, Kansas in 1971. From 1971-1974 Thomas enlisted in the Army under the 977th Military Police Company. He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1974. He went on to earn a BA from University of Missouri Kansas City in 1977. Thomas taught physical education and biology as well as coached in the Kansas City School District after graduating. He left teaching to work as an adjuster for USF&G insurance company in Kansas City, Missouri. Lasting through several mergers, he retired with Travelers Insurance as a Major Case Specialist in December 2020 after 42 years with the company.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Thomas is survived by his wife Margaret Balistreri Wright; children, Jon-Erik Wright, Tiffany Wright, and Steven Wright; grandchildren, Mateo and Mila Cortez; brother, Dan Wright; as well as numerous extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
