Tomasa A. Contreras was called home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2012 at the age 70. She is preceded in death by her parents; Espetacion & Maria Almendarez, siblings; Ignacio Almendarez, Esperanza Garcia, Luis Almendarez, Angel Almendarez and grandchild Maya Lillie Contreras. Mrs. Contreras is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Adolfo Contreras, children; Guadalupe Contreras (Toni Marie), Maria Victoria Garcia (Leon Sr.), Rachel Contreras, Alicia Rodriguez (Felix Sr.), Consuelo Contreras (Johnny R. Ramirez Jr.), 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, siblings; Mr. & Mrs. Louie Almendarez, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Almendarez, Estella Torres (Jose), Guadalupe Torres and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Monday, January 23, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. for 10:00 a.m. funeral service at United by Grace Baptist Church, 1910 Callaghan Rd. services to conclude after funeral service.
