Tony Lee Anderson

Tony Lee Anderson, known to all as Tony, departed at home on August 23, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, where he was also born on May 5, 1959, and where the memories of his life shall long remain as bright stars in the summer sky.

He was a man of many noble qualities, and those who knew him best shall remember him as funny, loving, and intelligent, with a spirit both steadfast and generous. In the grand theater of life, Tony played his part with giving laughter freely, wisdom readily, and affection without measure. He walked through the days appointed unto him with a heart that was large enough to hold family, friendship, labor, music, and mischief alike.

For twenty years, Tony served as a building engineer for Caesar’s Palace, where his skill and diligence were known and valued. He was also a proud dual union member of the Carpenters and Engineer union, standing in fellowship with those who labor with their hands and minds to build and sustain the world. His work was not merely work, but a testament to his character, for he took pride in doing things well, in solving problems, and in being a dependable soul upon whom others could rely. Such labor, performed with integrity, and Tony composed it daily with tools, talent, and steadfast resolve.

Outside the bounds of his profession, he loved all things rock and roll, and the thunder of a guitar or the pulse of a beloved song could light upon his spirit like fire upon dry wood. He enjoyed building anything from cars to DIY projects, proving that his hands were as inventive as his mind was sharp. He held a special affection for Star Wars Lego collections, a treasure that joined imagination, craft, and delight in one spirited passion. In his backyard, by the pool he enjoyed so well, he could be found barbecuing for his family for hours, tending the grill with patience and pleasure. His green thumb was no small wonder, for he could grow just about any vegetable in Las Vegas, and among his many garden triumphs, his prized possession was his hot peppers, which stood as a fiery emblem of his personality.

Tony’s life was richly blessed with family, and he cherished them deeply. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years Kathy, his mother Patty Anderson (Andy Anderson) Brother, Gary Anderson (Audrey), his father in law Robert Lewe (Donna) his children Casey Cordery (Jacqueline), Monique Cordery, Danielle Parra (Rosendo Parra), 8 beautiful grandchildren: Alexis, Gabriela, Xavier, Amelia, Annabelle, Daxton, Halana, Kenton, and his beloved pups Gizmo, and Minnie. Their lives were touched by his humor, steadiness, and affection, and the bonds he formed with them shall endure beyond the reach of time. To family he gave his presence, his care, and his often playful wit, and in return he received the great fortune of belonging and being loved.

Although he was taken far too soon, may Tony/Dad/Pop/T-bone be remembered with happiness and joy, and may those who mourn him take comfort in the richness of his days, the strength of his love, and the enduring echo of his laughter.

A visitation will take place at 12:00 PM, on August 28, at Porter Loring Mortuary West, with a rosary to follow at 2:00 PM.
