Tracy Anderson, age 48, passed away July 29, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on July 16, 1973 in Victorville, California to Robert and Joyce Anderson. She is survived by her spouse, Andrea Alston; twin sister and her husband Stacy and Sean Hobdy, her brother and his wife Wayne Anthony and Tonantzin Rennick, her mother Joyce Anderson, her nieces and nephews Kishan, Turquoise, Esmi, Jazmyn, Trenton, and Jordyn and her great nephew Nehemiah. Also to celebrate her life is her sister-in-law, Allison Alston, as well as Gary Garnett, Jr, his sons Gary Garnett III and Geremiah Garnett. Gia Garnett and her children, Paris Magwood and Kyrie Almanzár, as well as her closest friend, Charlotte Naranjo and Godsons, Devin Benavidez and Dimitri Naranjo all of whom she loved dearly. Along with a host of friends, co-workers, and associates that will miss her very much.
Tracy loved to love on her family, her friends, her co-workers and shined a light on everyone she met.
Christened at a young age at Emmanuel Temple CME in Victorville and raised in Hesperia until 1986 when the family moved to Okinawa, Japan for 3 years. While in Okinawa, Tracy continued her love of basketball. She made the varsity team as a freshman and traveled the island playing against other American and Japanese schools. In 1989 the family moved to Lakenheath, England. The family continued to enjoy traveling and sightseeing. Tracy even won a scholarship to attend basketball camp in Switzerland during senior year of high school. After graduating in 1991, Tracy and Stacy attended San Francisco State University, where Tracy played on the ladies basketball team. She transferred to and later graduated from California State Bakersfield with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education. In 2008, Tracy decided to move to San Antonio to be with her wombmate. Tracy and Stacy have an indescribable talent of quoting movies...line for line. They are often teased that they could have a full conversation using movie quotes, especially The Color Purple.
Tracy was employed at CVS Health since 2013, where she moved up in the company to reach her goal as a Corporate Trainer. A position that was her pride and joy, she loved teaching new hires and training tenured representatives on new or updated processes.
Tracy loved all things Michael Jackson, her treasured collection of Monopoly games and basketball, especially her beloved Los Angeles Lakers.
Through social media, Tracy met Andrea, in 2013. She married her love on 8-18-18 in Las Vegas, surrounded by friends and family. Tracy loved Andrea with all of her heart. They were inseparable, whether travelling, staying home watching WNBA, working from home, or their favorite pastime, shoe shopping.
To honor Tracy, a purple Jacaranda Tree will be planted, enriched with a portion of her ashes and per her request the remaining portion of her ashes will be scattered in a place dear to her heart. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Saturday, August 7,2021 beginning at 12:00 P.M. with a Memorial Service at 1:00 P.M. Reception to follow at 2pm to pm.
