Tyler will be missed by many but his memory will live on in the wonderful family he left behind. We got to know him before he married our granddaughter, Jessica, and loved him for the wonderful husband and father he became. He was as comfortable in our presence as we were in his. He will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.

I'll never forget and always keep that little poem you wrote me late one night when we were bored at Brian's house. I always loved having class together with Mr. Henry, your grades were so much better than mine. You're a great friend and I miss you and love you with all my heart!

One night in November of 2001 I met a man that would forever change my life. Since the second I met him I knew there was no one else Id rather spend the rest of my life with. So one night I asked him to marry me. Without any thought he agreed. He soon moved in with me , it was a small apartment but we didnt care because it felt like the perfect home since we had each other. We hadnt gotten married yet and I asked him if we could try to have a baby. He wasnt to sure at frist but then said if thats what I wanted then of course. We tried for 8 months and then decided it wasnt meant to be and gave up. The next month we got pregnant. We couldnt have been happier... Tyler went to all my doctor appointments with me and the day we found out the baby was going to be a boy... Tyler was filled with soo much excitment. A boy that he could take out on the court and teach to play basketball. We got married when I was almost 4 months pregnant. Time then flew by and the next thing I knew we were in the hospital. I was in labor for 14 hrs and not once did Tyler leave my side. He slept in the chair that sat in the corner... it looked soo uncomfortable. When they told me I had to get a c-section I was soo deathly scared. Tyler held my hand the entire time. I remember the second he saw Cole, he had these tears running down his face. I felt my heart just sink into my heart because I had never seen him be soo happy and proud of anything in his life. I knew from that second that he would do anything for his little boy. He always did. He was soooo dedicated to being the best father. From watching the spurs games to going out on the court and playing to playing hide and seek or cooking dinner. They did everything together. I couldnt have asked for anything better in my life. These past 4 years have gone by so fast but they will forever be my most charished. Not matter how much I wish he would just walk back in that door I know its not going to happen. I will always love you Tyler and so will Cole. I am forever grateful for giving me the best gift anyone can give. I will always tell Cole all about how great of a dad he had. You will never be forgotten. For everyday I see you in our son. May you be in a better place and happy. Love You Forever.

Thank you all for coming to help us say goodbye to Tyler. My name is Curtis Singleton and am Tyler's best friend. First, I'd like to especially thank Donna & Gerry for asking me to speak today about Tyler. It's truly an honor for me. I wasn't fortunate enough to have known Tyler as little kids but I can remember the first time we met on the basketball court in 8th grade. I was probably around 3 ft 3 inches tall back then so you can imagine my amazement when he started throwing down his one handed tomahawks. Immediately, I started wondering, 'is this kid really an 8th grade'? And that was just the beginning of what would turn out to be the best friendship I've ever had in my life and ever will have. We really had a special bond that I can't really put into words but was apparent just by seeing us hang out. From complaining about how boring baseball was to us, or playing basketball at all times possible, or listening to wu-tang together, or playing Tony Hawk for 8 straight hours, or going to a concert, to teaching him how to cook the perfect bowl of ramen, there was nobody I'd rather be in the company of. Obviously being best friends w/ somebody means you're going to be spending a lot of time w/ that person, which Tyler and I did even when we weren't roommates. Most best friends go thru times of arguing, bickering, or just getting plain sick of each other. They'll take brakes in friendship only to realize how good of a friendship they really had and forgetting there was ever any anymosity. One thing that says a lot about the kind of person Tyler was is that I can't remember one time that happened between us. He was that kind, caring, & non-confrontational which is very rare these days. I'm not going to get into all of our memories and stories cuz there's just too many of them but I will say one common thing Tyler and I had was that we've both been thru really rough and irresponsible periods in our lives. Everybody learns from their mistakes as both of us have but I couldn't be more proud of him these last few years. He met his beautiful wife, Jessica, which led to his adorable son, Cole, who's already got the looks of a good ballplayer. He was a great father who loved his family so much. Tyler may be gone from us now but he's alive in all our hearts and as happy as ever. He's in a better place now waiting to embrace us upon each of our arrival so he can be our brother, our son, our friend, our teammate, our husband, our father, & and for me, my big man once again. So Tyler, we mourn your passing but celebrate the greatest contribution you made in your life. You gave your family and friends one very, very special guy to love and without you our lives would not be complete. We will always thank you for that and.... I'll always be your point guard.

When I first met Tyler we worked at a PizzaHut in San Antonio,TX. At the time he was a waiter and I a cook,I remember he was always counting his tips,thus I renamed him "mazaska" which is "money" in lakota soiux. I concider Tyler a close and true friend,He had a honesty that you don't find in many people and I could count on him if the need arose.He was always there to be your friend and you felt welcome always to call on him. I hope that Cole will have the triats that his father held onto,being always honest,trustworthy,giving,and happy above all else. I only have fond memories of Tyler. Road trips with he and Stevie, pilgrimages to music festivals and playing Tony Hawk into the early hours of the morning. Images of his graceful athletic stature flow through my mind as I recall watching him play basketball for Madison. Tyler was a sweet and quiet soul, whose smile will greatly be missed. I feel lucky to have Know him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

It is so sad that Tyler was taken so early in his life. When something like this happens I have to think that God has a greater purpose for him in heaven then we do here on earth. I will always remember Tyler as a nice, polite person and a terrific athlete. I pray for his family to find the strength they need to get through this difficult time.

We are all deeply saddened by the loss of Tyler...he was a loyal friend and true. He was also a good husband and father. As for me in particular, Tyler was much more than a co-worker...I looked forward to every time he and I worked together. I knew no matter how chaotic it became during those days at Pizza Hut, Tyler would handle it in stride, and the day was always made better by his sense of humor. I will forever miss my Spurs buddy and fellow Hoosier. We will forever miss our friend.

Tyler was an awesome person. We went to school together in Monticello. I remember watching him play basketball in junior high, then in high school I remember missing him on the court. He was such a smart boy in school and a great person out side of school. He will truly be missed. God Bless his entire family.

Earlier today I heard the terrible news of Tyler's death. I wasn't sure at the time if the person who told me and I were talking about the same person, and then I figured out it was. 
I would first and foremost like to pay my respect to Jessica, and their son. I would also like to extend that to all of the family members, friends, co-workers and others affected by this tragedy. As a former co-worker of both Tyler and Jessica, the sorrow and pain is out of this world, and I am sure it will be for some time. 
I unfortunately only knew Tyler as a co-worker, and to me that was plenty. Tyler was the kind of person you just liked right from the get-go. He was very dependable, and a very hard worker. He cared a lot about his job, and never seemed unhappy with anything. He always spoke very highly of Jessica, and was very excited about both his mirrage, and birth og their son. I am very sad the hear about the loss of this wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be forever missed.

Tyler you are in a better place. My condolences go out to the Green family!

Tyler, my son Corry tells me that you were always smiling and happy. I know that you were very focused on your athletic achievement at Madison and continued that drive to support your family, those you loved most. You played hard and won the respect of the faculty and your peers. We will miss you.

I had known of Tyler since Matt/Zak and Tiffany started dating, and I was delighted to have met him finally. My first glimpse of him was at a baseball game, the high school championship for that year; I remember Tiffany and the rest of the family being so proud that he was on the team. As a sports fan, I was glad to share and join in the enthusiasm of the day. Knowing of Tyler's athletic abilities, I know there were many, many other games during his growing-up years. 
My heart aches for Tyler's family and the young man they knew. I know that I have been very sadden by our loss. May we all remember and hold him dear.

I didn't get to know Tyler as well as others did, but the Tyler i knew was a quiet guy and always a nice guy. Im sure his dedication and love i saw him display on the court carried over as well off the court. He will always be remembered and loved.

Jessica, i'm so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Tyler that long but he made an immediate impact on me as such a nice, warm, friendly person. Please accept my condolences in this difficult time.

I had the privelage of working with Tyler almost every day for the past 3 months, I enjoyed conversations with him regarding his beautiful family and knowing that Tyler was looking forward to seeing his son grow up. On more than one occasion I watched Tylers wife pick him up from work and Tyler would sometimes opt to sit in the back with his son, he would put his arm over the car seat, and he had this smile. Seeing this would help me to spend more time with my family when I got home. Thanx Tyler for your friendship, we learn so much from people we hardly know or we only get to know for awhile.
