Im 16 years old now, and I still remember the freshly chopped cheese and rolled up ham my grandma Ursula made me when I’d stay over, complimented with a cup of Golden peak tea. I remember the doll house and vintage Barbie dolls I’d play with while she’d shuffle a deck of disney card games we would play together. I often wake up craving her delicious powdered sausages which she made me every morning I stayed over. I even remember racing to her laptop to play this one game in particular which featured fearless dora riding on top of a horse and going through mazes. Even though my grandma is gone on earth, she is never gone in spirit. My memories of her still play back in my head, even tho I’ve forgotten what she sounded like I’ll never forget her kindness, laughter, compassion and cooking which my wonderful mom Vanessa has inherited from her. I’ll always remember her warm embrace, beautiful smile and the love she had for me and her family. I love you grandma Ursula 💗

Thinking of my sweet high school friend, Ursula, today. I moved to Corpus my senior year and lost touch with her. I was saddened to learn of her passing and I'm very sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. Thank you for sharing the slideshow of Ursula, Randy, and your beautiful family in happy times and cherished memories. You all are in my prayers.

My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you.  Remember Ursula will always be a close as a memory and that God will always be as close as a prayer.   What a blessing it was to have worked with her at Humana Military.  She always had a smile on her face and time for everyone.  May God grant you peace and comfort during this most difficulty time.

I had the pleasure to really get to know Ursula beginning in the early part of 2015.  Despite each of us spending nearly half our lives at Humana, we did not cross paths more closely than this past year.  My heart broke when she told me of her diagnosis and it split to pieces when I learned of her passing.  She was one of the kindest and most positive people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  I can still hear her sweet voice when I close my eyes and think of her.  She made such a tremendous impact over her 20 year career at Humana.  She touched a lot of lives, including mine, and will never be forgotten.  She is missed dearly! My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Ursula will forever be remembered as such a kind, thoughtful, energetic and happy individual. I will miss our conversations about our children, grandchildren and extended families.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this most difficult time.

Ursula was a wonderful person, who I enjoyed talking to about my daughter and her grandchildren . I will always remember that beautiful smile of hers everytime I saw her. She will be greatly missed and always remembered. My blessing goes out to her family who I know she loved so much.

Ursula was such a special person with a warm personality and delight laugh.  She was the first person I met when I began working for Humana and I had the pleasure to be her leader for over a year.  Ursula always valued and spoke of her husband and daughters, and there was no doubt how much she loved them.  Her memory and spirit will continue to live through them.  May God faithfully keep watch over you all during this time.

I have never met a more glowing person than Ursula. In working with her, she was always positive and loved life.  You all are in my prayers through this difficult time, but know that your wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother was a special person who made a positive impact on many lives. I had the privilege of working with Ursula for 15 years at Humana.  I feel so fortunate to have been able to share so many experiences at Humana with her.  Ursula was always able to bring joy and humor to any situation.  Even when Ursula was upset with someone, you would never know it by that sweet voice!  Not only did Ursula make work fun but you knew that she always had your back and was such a dependable team mate.  I will miss hearing all of her stories  it was very clear how much she loved her family.  
During this difficult time, I want to express my deepest sympathy for all of Ursula's family and friends. I want Ursula's family to know just how much she was loved and respected at Humana and will always be missed.


Words cannot begin to express how sorry I am for your loss.  Randy, Vanessa, Erica and Brooke, I don't have to tell you how special your wife and mother was, you guys already know that!  I will tell you how much she was loved and admired by all that knew her at Humana in the Louisville office. 
 
Ursula and I worked together for many years in HR doing the exact same job only she was in San Antonio and I was in Louisville. We would call each other sometimes daily about our new hire orientations that we both dreaded but had to conduct each Monday and how we wished someone else would take them over.  She was such a beautiful lady inside and out and her positive attitude was amazing.  Sometimes she would just call to ask how my day was going and we would end up talking about our kids and grandkids and making each other laugh until we cried.   I would tell her that I felt like I had known her all my life and she would say the same.  We used to say how we wished we lived closer because we surely would have been friends outside of work. 

I left Humana at the end of 2013 and we continued to stay in touch and send each other little notes of inspiration now and then.  Ironically, just a few weeks ago, she reached out to me and told me how much she missed our daily talks to help get her through the day.  That meant so much to me and I have since saved it in my "Ursula Folder".  When I was at Humana, I always looked forward to her visits to Louisville.  We as a team would get together for a few days and have our team building exercises.  I know she wasn't crazy about traveling and sometimes she would have a little anxiety about leaving Randy and the girls and we would try and ease her worries by making her laugh.
  
Ursula, you have earned your wings early and I have absolutely no doubt that you are watching over your family and friends.  It will be your  beautiful smile and sweet voice that I will miss the  most and even though you left us way too soon, your memory will live on in those lucky enough to have called you their friend.

My heart aches for the family. I will always and forever remember her joyful smile and warm heart.  It was a great honor to have work with Ursula.

I worked at the same company as Ursula several years ago. I always found her to be attentive, responsive to one's needs, and an expert in Human Resource policies. While i did not know her on a personal level, i found her to have a sweet and giving personality. I know she will be missed and i am so sad to hear of her passing. When our children were born, Ursula was first to arrive and last to leave. That was the type of person she was. She would not rest until she knew her loved ones were taken care of. She worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect, and it always was. You couldn't have asked for a better mother-in-law or human-being in general. I feel so blessed to have had her in my life. She was the best, and she will be sorely missed...

I am deeply saddened by the news of Ursula's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. I worked with Ursula for nearly 17 years. I will always remember her smile and enthusiasm as they were both contagious. She always saw the good in people and she never complained. She was so very proud of husband; daughters; and grandchildren. Ursula will  be greatly missed.

I miss you so much momma. You were the greatest mom ever, and always willing to take extra steps to make sure our family was happy. You nurtured us like tiny infants even as we grew into our adult life. You made me Easter baskets up until I turned 30. Oh wait, I meant 23! :) You gave the best hugs, advice, smiles, and life will never be the same without you. You taught us to never talk bad about people and how to love. I aspire to be just like you. I want to cook like you, clean like you, give the best birthday gifts & Christmas gifts just like you, & make my kids Easter baskets in till they're 30, I mean 23. :) You made it seem so simple. As I raise my 4 kids now, I often wonder how you did it. I love you and you will always & forever be in my heart. Love~ness :)
