He was born August 21, 1922 in Ford City, PA. He was preceded by his wife, Jewell DeLong, his daughter, Judy A. Stockton, and his son, Terry DeLong.
He is survived by his sister in Ford City, PA, Kathleen Ball age 91 years, his brother in Kittanning, PA, Clyde DeLong age 85 years, his grandsons in San Antonio, TX, Clifton DeLong age 30 years and Trevor DeLong age 22 years.
Don called San Antonio, TX his home for the last 50 years. He retired from the Air Force in 1969 after 26 years of service.
During the 1960's and 1970's he and his wife were very active square dancers. He also loved his dogs. Sugar, his Jack Russell Terrier was a great comfort to him after his wife, daughter and son passed.
His grandson, Clifton DeLong was his primary caregiver the last two years of his life.
Don's wish was to be cremated and buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. He will be missed by all.
