Born in Navasota, Texas to the late Duncan and Grace (Griffin) Adkisson, Marsene left his hometown to move to Houston before joining the Air Corps in 1943. He served 26 years in the US Army Air Corps and US Air Force where he was a Martin B-26 Bombardier in WWII and B29 radar operator in the Korean War.
Retired in the grade of Lt. Colonel in 1969, he subsequently worked in residential real estate in San Antonio.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth L. Adkisson.
