Vanessa Kay Dye

Vanessa was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Helen Villard on September 16, 1955. She went to school at Clovis High School, Clovis, New Mexico. She married John Dye on September 3, 1977 in Clovis, New Mexico. She graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University. She worked as a full time Mom and Mamaw. She was the heart of her family. She loved gardening and bird watching.

Vanessa is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Villard Spearman and grandparents M.L. and Mae O’Neal.

Vanessa is survived by her husband, John Dye. Her children, Amber Dye,

Kendra Dye, and Lacey Dye. Her sister, Lisa Villard and brother Lee Villard. Her grandchildren, Alexander, Noah, Lily, Kaden, and Dominic. Also, many extended family members.

Funeral services will be held 6:00pm, Tuesday, July 15, 2025 with a reception from 5:00pm – 6:00pm at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, San Antonio, Texas. Arrangements are by Sunset Northwest Funeral Home.
