Velma Brandt passed away peacefully on April 9, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was born June 10, 1925 in Floresville, TX to Willie and Frieda Teltschik. Velma enjoyed music and gardening. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed every minute she was able to spend with them. Most of all, Velma was devoted to her faith and loved the Lord.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Benno Brandt; daughters, Peggy Tholen and husband Mark and Betty Hjornevik; grandchildren, Jill, Paul, Tiffany and Zach; and great-grandchildren, Annie, Erin and Hayden.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 from 5-7:30PM at Sunset Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 11AM at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 308 Mt. Calvary,San Antonio, TX 78209.
