Verna Lee Schaefer of Pipe Creek, TX entered eternal rest on April 25, 2011 in San Antonio, TX. Verna was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Bandera, TX and the Bandera Art Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Pringle & Meta (Schultze) Pringle Thornton; her husband of 60 years, Alfred Schaefer; daughter, Yvonne Miller; and grandson, Nathan Martinez. Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn Bry (Marvin), Deborah Martinez (Roland); 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Rosa Lee Kiolbassa; half-brother, Roy Lee Thornton; special friend, Linda Maine; numerous nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, April 28, 2011 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
