Col. Vernor L. McKinney, USAF, Ret. age 78, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 in San Antonio. He was born on April 15, 1929 in Spurgeon, IN. After a distinguished 30-year career in the United States Air Force, Vern loved playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Beatrice McKinney. He is survived by sons, Randy McKinney and wife, Stacey of Western Springs, Illinois. Rick McKinney and wife Jean of San Antonio; daughters, Becky Hudson and husband, Walt, Regina Wilson and husband Greg, all of San Antonio; sister, Ruth Dockins of Elkhart, Indiana; and nine grandchildren.
