

Veronica R. Cody, age 61, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026. She was born on February 21, 1965, and lived a life filled with love, generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
For more than 35 wonderful years, Veronica shared a loving marriage with her husband, Kevin T. Cody. Together they built a home centered on love, faith, and family, creating countless memories that will be cherished forever.
Veronica found her greatest happiness in bringing people together. She loved family gatherings and was often the heart of every celebration. Whether she was shopping for the perfect gift, baking delicious treats for loved ones, planning her next adventure, or simply enjoying time socializing with family and friends, she had a remarkable gift for making everyone around her feel special. Gift-giving was one of her love languages, and she delighted in finding thoughtful ways to brighten someone else's day. Her love of traveling allowed her to create lasting memories with those she held dear, while her baking filled both homes and hearts with warmth.
Above all, Veronica was a devoted mother who never missed an opportunity to support her children. She was actively involved in her sons' lives, faithfully attending their activities, celebrating their accomplishments, and encouraging them every step of the way. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she was an extraordinary wife, mother, sister, and friend whose kindness, compassion, and generous spirit touched countless lives.
Veronica's Christian faith was an important part of her life and provided her with strength, hope, and guidance. She lived her faith through her love for others, her generosity, and the joy she shared with everyone she met.
She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Kevin T. Cody; her sons, Kevin T. Cody Jr. and his partner, Victoria Cruz, and Garret M. Cody and his partner, Amanda Reser; her sister, JoAnn Vasquez (Fred Vasquez); her sisters-in-law, Denise Bouchard and Colleen Fornito; her brother-in-law, Patrick Cody; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews who will forever treasure her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Maria Nichole Cody; her parents, Joe G. Rodriguez and Lillian G. Rodriguez; and her father-in-law, Patrick J. Cody.
Veronica will be remembered for her warm smile, generous heart, infectious laughter, thoughtful gifts, homemade treats, and the love she poured into every family gathering. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and in the memories shared by those who were blessed to know and love her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, faith, and joyful spirit will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, US, on July 24, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Chapel Service at the same location at 11:00 am.
A Processional will depart from the funeral home for a Committal service at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd, the same day.
