Born in 1980 to Julia and Celerino Herrera, Veronica was a proud and loving mother to her two beautiful daughters, Gabriella and Sofia, who were the light of her life.
Veronica was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Class of 1999, and went on to pursue her calling in nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Class of 2004. Her dedication to helping others led her to a meaningful career as a Utilization Management Nurse for United Healthcare, where she cared deeply for her patients and advocated tirelessly for their well-being.
Veronica had a magnetic personality that drew people to her wherever she went. She loved the ocean and found peace and joy at the beach — her happy place. Whether spending time with family, making new friends, or simply soaking in the sun and waves, Veronica lived her life with an adventure.
She shared an unbreakable bond with her three sisters — her best friends in the world. Together, they created a lifetime of memories, filled with laughter, deep conversations, and unwavering support.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Though she may be gone from our sight, her light, love, and spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
