

Victor Gomez, Jr. age 76, of San Antonio, died Sunday, September 2, 2012. After his proud service in the Navy, Victor went on to be actively involved in many endeavors. He led the CYO Baseball Organization at St. Mary Magdalen's Catholic Church for many years in the 70's. Victor was a member of the IUE-AFL Local Union 780 Wildcats. He retired from Frederick Air Conditioning Company after 41 years of loyal service. He is preceded in death by his father, Victor, Sr.; his mother, Martina; brothers, Joe L. Gomez, Vicente Gomez, Richard Gomez and Ralph Gomez; and sister, Olga Martinez. He is survived by his loving wife, Velia Gomez; children, Lydia Flores, George Gonzales and wife Karen, Victor Gomez and wife Margaret, John Gomez and Erika DeHoyos; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Elvira G. Rincon, Abel Gomez, Yolanda G. Vielmas, Diana G. Young, Edward Gomez and Gerald Gomez; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
