Always smiling, always grinning...that's how we will remember Victor! We'll never forget the day you all drove from San Antonio to Pearl River to pick up your new collie baby. Such a hard trip but such a blessing to see the absolute joy on Victor's face as he held his puppy for the first time! I thank God for the blessing he gave us in knowing Victor! We'll never forget you!

To my step sisters...Annie and Tammy, I was very heartbroken to hear of Victor's passing. You know your dad, my step-dad was a very good man. Helped raise me and PJ for 13 yrs. and you just can't throw something like that away. I will consider Victor my step dad regardless of what any one thinks. Even though our parents divorced we have remained close and we are so blessed to have y'all in our lives. I'm glad that me, mom and PJ were able to be with y'all yesterday. Love y'all very much:

Victor was a lot of things to a lot of people. A husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, a friend.. but no matter his role, I believe that we can all agree upon one very basic fact. That he had a tremendously positive impact on all who he shared his life with. He overcame overwhelming adversity time and time again and refused to quit. Never did he let his failing health prevent him from loving and caring for those in his life any less. We all miss him greatly, and knowing that nobody could ever replace him makes this loss even more difficult for those of us still here. But I take comfort in knowing that his struggle is over. So please rest Victor, nobody has earned it more. Much love, Trey

I remember Victor as a great man! He really like his lottery tickets and he liked to go gambling. When Arturo and I would go with Victor and Mary gambling we would lose Victor in the crowd in a blink of an eye. We will truthly miss you Victor.

May my friend Victor find peace in God's kingdom. We are all God's children. It is important to remember that everyone's life on Earth is between each of us and God; it is never between us and anyone else. May all of God's blessings be with Victor and with all of us left behind. As a brother in Service, may fair winds and following seas follow him for all eternity in Heaven.

Even though I had only known Victor for a short time, my family and I were blessed to have meet Victor. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to have known him; he was a sweet and very friendly talkative man. May God give his family the strength as they continue their lifes without him, as he?s in a much better place where there is no more sickness, suffering or sorrow.

Victor was my stepfather. I will remember him as the strong man he was, and I thank him for the strength he has shown me. When he first came into my life we had our differences, but in the end the differences drew us closer together. I will miss him dearly and cherish the memories I have of him. He was a good man, and he helped me become the strong person I am today, and for that I say, thank you so much Victor.

I remember Victor as a very caring, 
hard working man. I know that he would have given any of his friends the shirt off his back. He was well liked by everyone who knew him. He was 
a friend that you could count on. He loved his family and he was very proud of Mary and his three boys.

 I have known you only through Daute and have cheered for Daute and Tina or Ike in the ring when he has won. I am so deeply sorry for your lost love one! I wished I could be there for the funeral. My heart and soul goes out to you and may God give you the strength and comfort that you need to get you through these tough times. My only comforting thought is this, if Victor knew Jesus as his personal Savior, we will see him again. God bless you all and my thoughts and prayers are with you!

Victor was a wonderful person who we enjoyed so much over the last 3 years. We met him while showing his dog "Dante" and Victor, Laura and the boys quickly became part of our dog show family. Victor was a generous person who was always willing to help out. We will miss him dearly We love you Victor!

I will remember Vic as a very influential person in my life because I learned a lot about him while I was growing up. As his personal nurse I grew to understand the gravity of his situation more and more. Every day after school I'd give him his medicine and we would talk. He'd tell me stories of the war and growing up. I would tell him about school and the upcoming events. Even in his contition he had a smile on every time Wes and I showed up from school, and he didn't look like he was in pain. I was happy to see his strength stay with him till the end, and I am grateful to have had him as a part of my family.

We all know the pain of losing a loved one. I have lost my soul mate. Some of you may not even know me, but my life and the lives of my sons have been intertwined with Victor's for the past 8 1/2 years. Victor was a very complex, multi-faceted person. And there was a chemistry between us that few people ever experience. Our bond survived through much adversity. Victor bravely faced his declining health head-on. He was the bravest, strongest person I've ever known. I am honored to have been his wife, and I take comfort in knowing that we will be reunited someday. My sympathy goes out to all whose lives he touched.

Victor was so sweet to include me along with his family on many occasions: gambling in Louisiana, dog races, dining, San Antonio, etc. I always had a lot of fun and looked forward to the next adventure. He's given me and many other people wonderful memories by which to remember him. He will be dearly missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with Mary and the boys.

Dear Missy, I know you're keeping up with all of these messages so I just wanted you to know that I love you so much. I know Dad was proud of you, Ralphie, Alyssa, David and Victor. He made us the strong independent young women we are today. Now we have another angel watching over us.

Annie and Tammi and family so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad Victor. Victor was not only a brother-in- law but a god father to Travis and it takes a SPECIAL person to have that title! Victor was the one that would always say bring the boys over we will take care of them. I know that you Annie and Tammi took care of the boys!! But, your dad is in a better place now and pain free!
