LtCol Victor M. Helbling, USAF (Ret), 59, died on Sunday, October 6, 2013 of cancer. Committed to education and community service, he constantly strove to enrich the lives of the people he touched, both on his world travels and at home. He served his country, treasured his friends, and loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hugo. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rosie; his mother, Ellen; his children, Riki, Toni, J, and Annie; his brother, Andrew; and his sister, Claudia.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
