

Victor Manuel Pompa Sr., age 82, of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico living in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on November 10, 2024 after a long battle of illnesses. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend as he always put others before himself. He was a lively person, full of personalities who loved to laugh and tell stories. He enjoyed cooking and listening to music. He was very famous for his frijole’s borrachos’ as everyone would ask him to make this dish at many family events. He worked in the tile setter and plastering business for numerous years where he took his work ethics seriously. He is preceded in death by his parents: Victor Candelario Pompa and Imelda Maria Pompa, his brother Pedro Pompa, sister San Juanita and his lovely wife of 52 years, Sylvia L. Pompa. Together they raised 4 children: Victor M Pompa Jr. (Maryalice), Diana Puente (Julio), Robert Pompa and Sylvia Hernandez (Jerry). Siblings Mario Pompa (proceeded wife Elena), Imelda Alvarado (Robert), Leticia Mendoza (Jose Maria) and sister-in-law Victoria Pompa. He had 6 grandchildren: Richard, Anthony, Robert Jr., Vanessa, Araceli, Analicia, Julie and Natalie. Great grandchildren: Xavier, Zayvion, Olivia, Landon, Kellen, Abigail and Robert Luke and extended family members.
Visitation will begin Friday, November 15th, 2024 at 5:00pm with a Rosary recited at 7:00pm at Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home. The church mass will be at Christ the King Catholic Church located at 2610 Perez St at 10:00am. Burial to follow back at Sunset Memorial Park.
