Viola Reyes

Viola Reyes, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, entered into eternal rest on May 12, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on September 21, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, to Jesus Reyes and Teresa Yanez Reyes. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents.

Viola spent much of her life in service to others. She worked for many years as a medical assistant in the Emergency Room at Brady Green, where her dedication and compassion were deeply valued. After retiring, she continued to care for those in need through her work as a caregiver.

Viola was a woman of quiet strength and deep faith. Though she kept to herself, she was a devoted attendee of St. Ann’s Catholic Church and found comfort in her spiritual life. She had a special love for animals, especially her dogs, Bear and Blue, who brought her great companionship and joy.

In her early years, Viola graduated from Little Flower Private School. She enjoyed listening to 1970s music—especially the sounds of Chris Montez—as well as the peaceful music of her church, which brought her comfort and reflection.

Viola’s memory will live on in the hearts of her loving sister, Jesusita Rodriguez (Joe); her aunt, Elida Gonzalez; her niece and nephew, Michelle Gonzalez and Eddie Gonzalez; and numerous cousins and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Her kindness, gentle presence, and love for those closest to her will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Viola. Your memory will forever be cherished.

A Visitation for Viola will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237 with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will occur Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St Ann's Catholic Church, 210 St Ann Street, San Antonio, Texas 78201 with Entombment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237.
