

Virgil Oliver Rosser III, 81, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on August 10, 2017. He was born in Graham, Texas December 9, 1935 to Dr. and Mrs. V.O. Rosser Jr. Virgil grew up in Graham, Texas and graduated from Graham High School. He was a rambunctious youth who rode bulls and ran hard as a young man.
He was a graduate of The University of Texas, where he and Bebe first met. He was a former Marine with a love for his country. Virgil had a gentle humor in his hazel eyes that he carried every day. The devotion he showed to Bebe and to his children and six grandchildren cannot be measured in earthly quantities. He had a huge heart, a wonderful laugh and a gentle soul. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent his whole life indulging in fishing and hunting with family and friends. Virgil was a member of the Texas Cavaliers, The German Club, The Merry Knights, and the Order of the Alamo. Virgil devoted the last few years of his life to tracking and recording his family lineage, in which he took abundant pride.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Annie Bell "Bebe" Steves Rosser, and his three children, Virgil Oliver Rosser IV and wife Pamela, Sam Bell Steves Rosser and wife Brook, Annie Bell Rosser Snider and her husband Theodore, sister Mary Beth Roye of Waxahachie, sister-in-law Mrs. Richard Rosser "Kitty", his grandchildren, Augusta Rosser, Isabel Rosser, Rachel Rosser, Ruthie Rosser, Ainsley Snider and Oliver Snider as well as many nephews and nieces, and his sweet pooch Maddie Bell.
