Virginia R. Flores

Virginia R. Flores, age 95, affectionately known as Memo went peacefully to heaven on August 19, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. Virginia is survived by her two children; daughter, Sylvia Navarijo (Frank Navarijo) and son, Marcelino Flores Jr. (Richard Avadikian). She is also survived by one grandson, Andrew Navarijo (Griselda Herrera) and two granddaughters, Georgina Navarijo (Marguerite Muzquiz), Cynthia Navarijo, her sister Cecilia Brown and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Marcelino Flores Sr. and her sister Stella Aguilar. Virginia thoroughly enjoyed bingo, making crafts and beautiful quilts. Many thanks go to all the loving family and friends who have shown their support in caring for her, especially Evelyn Moran. The family also thanks the caring staff of Alamo Hospice. Memo will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Bandera Road on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 N. Grissom Rd, 78251 with Rev. Msgr. Patrick Cronin officiating. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery # 2.
