Virginia Wild Hansen, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at the age of 89.
She was born March 26, 1918 in Elmwood, WI. Mrs. Hansen was an active member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
She received a Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Stout and taught Home Economics at the University of the Incarnate Word for over 27 years. She was an avid bridge player.
Survivors: husband of 64 years, Don Hansen; son, Capt. Greg Hansen, USN Ret and wife, Linda of Palm Coast, FL; daughters, Trisha Corrigan and husband, Richard, San Antonio, TX, and Sandy Cornyn and husband, U.S. Senator John Cornyn, Washington, DC; grandchildren, Regan Hansen, Carley Bynum and husband, Zach, Porter Corrigan and wife, Katy, Cassie Corrigan, Danley Cornyn and Haley Cornyn; great grandchildren, Corrigan Bynum and Hutton Bynum; sister, Lois Fosselman, Connelsville, PA; brother, Frank Wild and wife, Nona, Elmwood, WI; numerous nieces and nephews.
