Memories seem to be all around her name and years. The ghosts, and art, and music that filled the house. And they were good! It seems a good life; a long, good one with loving family! Where have those years gone? And so quickly. Love to you all, Joanna

Thinking of you -James, Willie, Toots, Jitter, and Bumpy- at this time of great loss, but with the happier memories of a lifelong friendship with all of you as "the Jackson family" that Bumpy first introduced me to at Fort MacIntosh. Since those early grammar school days at Ursuline,"Mrs. Jackson" has been a part of my life. Although we could hardly ask for a longer or fuller life, it is with great sorrow that I join you to mourn her passing from us.

Dear Bumpy, Jitter, Toots, Willie, and James, It is with great regret that I could not attend your lovely, wonderful Mother's funeral yesterday. We Ringwoods have such fun memories of our time with you at Ft. Mac and of Virginia doing her best to keep you out of trouble. Occasionally it worked. I've always admired the Jackson family's utter loyalty and support of each other and I'm sure that can be attributed in great part to lessons learned from Virginia. She certainly was an anchor for all of you and I know you will deeply miss her presence. My love to all of you, Mary Ringwood Bacon
