Virginia was born in Houston, Texas, on December 17, 1926, and moved to San Antonio at an early age. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School Class of 1944, attended Trinity University, and graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1948.
She married Winston Remi Maxwell on November 10, 1951, and they had 54 wonderful years together. Virginia received her Masters Degree in Library Science from Our Lady of the Lake University in 1972. She was a librarian at John Jay High School in the Northside ISD, at the time of her retirement in August 1990.
She is survived by her husband, Winston, her daughter, Elaine Maxwell Hubbard and son-in-law, Bob Hubbard, Jr., of Houston, her grandson, Jason Maxwell Hubbard of Canton, Texas and grandson, Brian Robert Hubbard, his wife, Vanessa, and great granddaughter, Jillian, of Katy, Texas.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Monday, October 16th at Porter Loring on McCullough.
