
Mr. Johnson was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church for over 38 years.
He retired from the MK & T Railroad as a foot-board yardmaster and switchman for 38 years.
He was a renowned Artist in San Antonio and taught Art for 20 years, was past president and life member of the River Art Group and helped organized the 1st River Art Show.
He was especially proud of his service in the Marine Corps during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Edna Johnson; brothers, James Lewis and William Wansley; sisters, Mildred Sarter, Flora Johnson, and Martha Vaughn; daughter-in-law, Sandra Ann Johnson; and grandson, Charles E. Johnson. Survived by his wife, H. Bee Johnson; sons, The Rev. Dr. Arthur Everitt Johnson and wife, Gail, Bay St. Louis, MS., James Andrew Johnson, Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth Price and husband, Bill, great granddaughters, Loran and Madison; Andrew N. Johnson, and Sean Andrew Johnson; sister, Emma Lucille Kepple; nephew, William Johnson; nieces, Amy Lynn Poerner and husband, Louis and Edwina Lee Fritter and husband Clifford; cousin, Everett Johnson.
