He was a life resident of the San Antonio/Helotes area.
He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, honesty and devotion as a husband, father and papaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Irene Schwarz. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Susan; 2 daughters, Lindsay Mendieta and husband Abelardo and their daughter Mia, and Betsy Wade and husband Mark and their daughter Scarlett; 4 siblings, Butch and Jan Ann, Johnny Ray, Annalynn and Chief, and Tommy and Julie; as well as Susan's brothers and their wives, Mills and Judy, John and Charlene, Mike and Leslee, and Randall and Sherri; lifelong friend, Georgia Boyer; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
