Walter E. Williamson

He is survived by his children, Robert Williamson and wife Robin, Mary Christian Payne and Kelly Williamson, grand children, Christy Payne, Blaine Williamson and Grant Williamson, and great granddaughter, Starla Payne Ortiz. He is also survived by his brother, Dr. John Williamson and wife Mary Beth, sister Nancy Ellen Dean and husband Bill and their respective families, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Walter graduated from Alamo Heights High School and attended Texas A&M University and The University of Texas. He served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army in the 2nd Rocket Forward Artillery Battery. He loved the outdoors and raised pure breed cattle at his Windy Ridge Farms near Nixon, TX, then worked for Ed Flume Building Specialties up until his retirement in 2009.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 12, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough, San Antonio, TX.
